In the spirit of the Christmas season, Tablas Island Electric Cooperative, Inc. (TIELCO) welcomed NEA Administrator Hon. Antonio Mariano Almeda and DOE Undersecretary Hon. Mario Marasigan during their official visit to Tablas Island. Together with TIELCO officials, they visited the cooperative’s offices and facilities to observe operations and overall system performance.
The visit included a meeting with TIELCO management and employees, where operational updates, system performance, and ongoing programs were discussed. The exchange highlighted continued coordination and policy support among NEA, DOE, and TIELCO in strengthening the cooperative’s operations.
Administrator Almeda and Undersecretary Marasigan emphasized the importance of close collaboration between national agencies and electric cooperatives, especially during the holiday season when reliable electric service supports homes, businesses, and community celebrations. The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment to improving operational efficiency, enhancing system reliability, and sustaining quality electric service for the people of Tablas Island.
