The team undertook a comprehensive assessment of the transactions and documents included in the draft MANAP, ensuring that the levels of authority, approval processes, and internal controls were consistent with the established guidelines issued by NEA and the Electric Cooperative’s own Board-approved policies.
This visit was aimed not only at validating the technical and procedural soundness of the proposed MANAP but also at providing guidance and technical assistance to TIELCO. Through this collaborative engagement, NEA sought to help TIELCO strengthen its governance systems, improve internal control measures, and ensure accountability and efficiency in the cooperativeโs financial and operational transactions.
The NEA teamโs presence underscored the agencyโs active role in safeguarding the integrity of Electric Cooperatives across the country, by promoting standards that align with national regulatory frameworks and best practices.
