𝐄𝐑𝐂 𝟐𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐋𝐂𝐎-𝐄𝐑𝐂 𝟏𝟑.𝟕 𝐌𝐖 𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐋𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐒 𝐈𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃
August 12, 2025 : The virtual hearing for the approval of TIELCO-STEC Joint Application for the 13.7 MW additional power supply for Tablas Island has just been concluded to include Pre- Trial Conference and Offering of Evidence. TIELCO represented by its counsel Atty. Lorraine Bobiles of Dechaves, Lerios Amboy and Evangelista Law Firm , presented its lone witness GM Dennis L. Alag who presented its judicial affidavit and confirmed all the documentary evidences attached to the application before the Energy Regulatory Commission. On the other hand,counsels of STEC presented also two witnesses to the hearing. Before concluding the hearing, ERC Hearing Officer and its technical staff raised legal and technical questions and required parties to submit written explanations.
The virtual hearing was mirrored at TIELCO Main Office where a number of MCOs are in attendance.
TIELCO and STEC manifested to the Honorable Commission with a prayer for the immediate release of a Provisional Approval to allow the operation STECs New Power Plant in San Agustin to augment the shortfall of supply in Tablas Island.
