Centered on the theme “BEYOND POWER: Electric Cooperative Empowering Communities, Changing Lives,” the Tablas Island Electric Cooperative, Inc. (TIELCO) successfully conducted its 39th Annual General Membership Assembly (AGMA), bringing together Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) from across Tablas and Carabao Islands.
📝 Registration started at 9:00 AM with 3,356 MCOs signing in for the day’s event.
🌟 Distinguished guests graced the assembly:
– Congressman Eleandro Jesus “Budoy” F. Madrona
– Governor Jose “Otik” Riano
– SP Aspirant Ms. Irene Morgado
🎤 Welcome Address: Ms. Zayra F. Andal, Principal, ONHS
🎙️ Opening Remarks: Director Arturo J. Fronda, Board President
💃 Adding energy to the program, TIELCO’s OJTs delivered a vibrant intermission performance, followed by a heartfelt message from Governor Riano, applauding the cooperative’s achievements.
📢 Keynote Address:
TIELCO General Manager Dennis L. Alag introduced Hon. Congressman “Budoy” Madrona, who shared a personal and inspiring message reflecting on his early days as BAPA Chairman and the remarkable progress of electrification in the province.
🏆 Recognition of Excellence:
Top-performing BAPA groups were awarded for their exemplary contributions for the calendar year 2024.
🎁 RAFFLE HIGHLIGHTS:
– 100 sacks of rice (10 kilos each)
– Cash prizes: ₱2,000, ₱3,000, and ₱5,000
– Major Prizes:
🛵 Three-wheeled e-bike – won by an MCO from San Jose
🚗 Four-wheeled e-bike – won by an MCO from Poctoy, Odiongan
The day concluded with cheers, pride, and a strengthened sense of community. TIELCO once again proved its commitment to empowering its members and celebrating the cooperative spirit.
