In celebration of the 55th National Electrification Administration anniversary and the 15th National Electrification Awareness Month (NEAM), Tablas Island Electric Cooperative, Inc. (TIELCO) actively participated in the 2024 NEA-EC’s Simultaneous Line Clearing and Tree Planting Activity. The event took place at Sitio Sinibaan, Budiong, Odiongan, lead by the General Manager Dennis L. Alag, together with the President of the Board Directors Arturo Fronda, bringing together all TIELCO employees for a meaningful and environmentally focused activity.
The employees tested their endurance by hiking one of Sinibaan’s hills, a challenging yet rewarding experience. Upon reaching the top, they paused to catch their breath and take in the fresh air, appreciating the natural beauty around them.
With renewed energy, the employees turned their attention to the task at hand: tree planting. Each participant took great care in planting every seedling, ensuring that not a single one was left unplanted, contributing to the preservation of the area’s natural beauty for generations to come. The combination of physical effort, environmental stewardship, and the opportunity to connect with nature made the entire experience both meaningful and memorable for all involved.
On the other hand, the line clearing was conducted simultaneously around TIELCO’s coverage areas, ensuring a comprehensive and efficient approach to maintaining the area. This simultaneous operation allowed for a more streamlined process, minimizing potential disruptions while maximizing the effectiveness of the clearing efforts.
