LOOK: TIELCO’s “Warriors of Light” are once again mobilizing to extend their assistance beyond repairing damaged electrical wires. In the wake of Typhoon Carina, which caused extensive damage to the electrical infrastructure on Tablas Island, our linemen, despite not having had sufficient rest, are now committed to supporting school clearing operations as part of the “Brigada Eskwela” initiative.

Immediately following the typhoon, these dedicated linemen took on the task of mending the critical electrical damages to restore power to affected areas. Now, they are lending their expertise to help schools prepare for the upcoming school year. Foreman Richard Tuquib leads the efforts at Gabawan Elementary School, while Safety Officer Joey Vestido and his team are spearheading operations at San Andres National High School. These hardworking and devoted individuals have swiftly transitioned from storm recovery to ensuring that schools are safe and ready for students, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the community.
