(Romblon, Romblon) The first Caravan of the Energy Regulatory Commission(ERC) for Off-Grid ECs was successfully held at Dream Paradise Resort in Romblon, Romblon today October 11, 2023.

The Energy Regulatory Commission team was headed by ERC Chairman Atty. Monalisa C. Dimalanta and she was joined by personnel from the Legal Department, Market Operations, Metering who alternately provided the participants with updates and relevant information on the areas of concerns affecting the Distribution Utilities. The ERC Chairman was joined in her trip by NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano C. Almeda who was also joined by his legal team. Also in attendance to the Caravan as resource speakers are officials of the National Power Corporation headed by Revenue Management Department Manager Me-ann Verzosa, Department of Energy and the Land Bank of the Philippines.

The DU participants to the caravan are General Managers, Department Managers and senior staff of Marinduque Electric Coop, Masbate EC, Ticao Island EC, TIELCO and ROMELCO.

The participants was given the opportunity to raise its specific concerns to the Commission in a free flowing discussion.

The ERC Chairman and NEA Administrator meet the employees of ROMELCO in a meet and greet activity at ROMELCO Main Office and in its way back to the airport, they also meet with Congressman Eleandro Jesus Madrona in a short meeting at his residence in Bachawan.
