As a requirement for a certification to be issued by TIELCO to validate the operation of SUWECO Tablas Energy Corporation (STEC) Hybrid Power Plant, TIELCO Management headed by General Manager Dennis L. Alag together with Engineering Manager, Engr. Amante S. Jandoc Jr and Planning Division Chief, Engr. Jason Fortunato conducted a site visit today to the largest installed renewable hybrid power plant in the country which was validated as currently operational and online to provide clean energy to Tablas Island.
The Hybrid Power Plant is owned and operated by SUWECO Tablas Energy Corporation (STEC), the contracted power supplier of TIELCO in Tablas Island. STECs Universal Power Platform integrates the 2.8 Megawatt peak DHybrid Battery Storage System (BESS) with its 7 Megawatt Peak Solar System into the islands microgrid, providing sustainability and eco friendly renewable source for Tablas Island.
Aside from its renewable plant, STEC also operates an 11 MW Diesel plant in the island that is integrated in its Hybrid system and being remotely managed to compensate the energy demand of the nine municipalities in Tablas Island 24/7.
