Power Supply Update: (August 4, 2021 2:00 pm)

As of 11:30 am today(August 4, 2021), one alternator that has a generating capacity of 1 Megawatt was unloaded at SUWECO Power Plant in Batiano, Odiongan to compliment the shortfall in power supply in Tablas Island in the last ten days as their Units 7, 1 and 2 was out of commission due to burned alternators.

The newly arrived alternator was sourced from SUWECOs Power Plant in Catanduanes and shipped by sea and land in the last two days for purposes of immediately limiting the massive shortfall of supply especially during the peak hours from 6 pm to 11 pm where force dropping are to be undertaken in rotation to three to four municipalities daily.

The newly arrived alternator when coupled to Engine 7 and after the completed baking procedure to guarantee that the moisture accumulated during sea transit is taken away, is expected to be operational early tomorrow to limit the load dropping to minimal degree.
